Fort Couch Middle School Attendance Rules

ABSENCES, LATE ARRIVALS, AND EARLY DISMISSALS

To report a child absent for a full or partial day, including late arrivals (tardy) and early dismissals, the parent/guardian must submit written notification to the Fort Couch Main Office or email to fcattendance@uscsd.k12.pa.us. Written notification may also be submitted via the Focus/Parent Portal.

For early dismissals, a parent/guardian must report to the Fort Couch Main Office before the child will be dismissed. Late arrivals (tardy) do not need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian upon arrival. Students arriving after 8:55 a.m. are considered tardy, which may be excused if proper written notification is submitted upon arrival.

A preplanned educational tour or trip should be approved prior to departure by submitting the USCSD Request for Excused Absence From School for a Preplanned Educational Tour or Trip form. This form can be submitted to the Fort Couch Main Office or by email to fcattendance@uscsd.k12.pa.us.
