Pantheon Choir to perform “Home Alone” Dec. 20

Home Alone Upper St. Clair High School’s Pantheon Choir will perform with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra during a showing of the movie “Home Alone” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Heinz Hall.

Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online from the PSO.

Members of the Pittsburgh Symphony together with the Pantheon Choir will perform the Oscar-nominated score as the full-length movie is screened above the stage.

“Home Alone” features Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who's accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas vacation, and who must defend his suburban Chicago home against two bungling thieves.

The film's signature song, "Somewhere in my Memory," was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

The Pantheon Choir, under the direction of Lorraine Milovac, is a mixed ensemble of female students from grades 11-12 and male students in grades 10-12. Selection to the ensemble is by audition only.

The performance is nearly sold out. To receive a discount on remaining tickets, use the promotion code USCPantheon. Restricted view seats have been opened up in the Grand Tier. (Asking for seats on the Grand Tier left or Grand Tier right have a better view than center. The stage is in full view, but the top of the movie will be cut off.) The promotion code for those seats is PSOpartial (partial view).
