USC host families needed for visiting Thai students

Thailand The Thai-USA Student Cultural Exchange Program, now in its 12th year, is seeking 17 host families for visiting Thai students from April 18 – May 21, 2017. In total, 34 students and four teachers from Thailand are participating in this year’s exchange.

Host families receive a complimentary check for $350 for each Thai student they host and the option of participating in field trips during weekends to downtown Pittsburgh, the Strip District, Nationality Classrooms at the University of Pittsburgh and shopping at Grove City Outlet. In addition, each host family will receive two VIP tickets for the dinner at the Thai Night Gala.

To host the students, you do not need to have children at home or children in the high school. Most Thai students come from families with younger children and get along well with younger children.

For more information about hosting Thai students, contact Luck Groves, director of the Thai-USA Student Cultural Exchange Program, at 412-221-4816 or 412-932-8888 (cell) or via email at: Thai-USA@comcast.net.
