    Don’t forget to RSVP to participate in Fort on the Field! This is a chance for band instrumentalists as well as future auxiliary members and band managers to spend an evening with the USC High School Marching Band. The RSVP is due Wednesday so please don’t wait to reserve your spot. For additional information, please pick up a flyer in the main office.

    In the world of Performing Arts... There will be a chorus rehearsal for all girls during period 7 in room 118.

    In other news...
    All students that forget something from home or are expecting something to be dropped by a parent or someone else are reminded to check the bookcase located in the office. The secretaries will not call into classrooms to remind you or to let you know something was dropped off for you as this causes a disruption to the teachers as they are teaching. Thank you for your help in this matter.
      Calling all band instrumentalists as well as future auxiliary members and band managers! Fort on the Field is your chance to try out marching band. This event is open to ALL 7th and 8th grade students. It will take place on Friday, October 4th. Anyone interested should pick up a flyer in the main office. Please RSVP no later than next Wednesday, September 11 to participate.
      The Fort Couch PTSO and staff invite you to come to the 1st social of the 2019-2020 scchool year! The social will be held from 7-9pm on Thursday, September 5th. All students are invited to attend. Pick-up and Drop-off will be at the main entrance of the school which is located on the field side of Fort Couch. Please come to have fun, socialize and kick off the school year!
    In the world of Performing Arts... The first rehearsal for all guys joining chorus will take place today during period 7 in room 118. Students should bring their things for dismissal with them.
    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) Congratulations to the boys and girls gross country team on their first victories of the season yesterday afternoon vs .Ringgold. The boys team was lead by 7th grader Bryce Potter. Other top finishers were Jhoran Laffin, Adam McFeeley
    Stephan Engelman, Andrew Chakos, Henry Ginsburg and Sam Levine. The girls team was lead by the Rhodes sisters. Lydia finished first and was followed by her sister Meredith as well as Kate Falce, Gabrielle Fishell Hannah Bemm and Cauley Mack

      Picture Day at Fort Couch is next Thursday, September 5th.

    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) The Lady Panthers Basketball Team played hard in two losses against West Mifflin. The 8th grade team was led by Sarah Robert, Abby Weber, Luana Ceser, Nandi Mitall, and Calla Dressler. The seventh grade leaders were Luana Ceser, Emily DeJohn , Calla Dressler and Taylor Latiolas. The Panthers travel to Elizabeth Forward this Wednesday.

    In the world of Performing Arts... Any 8th grade student that has an interest in trying out for USC High School Panther Marching Band Auxiliary is encouraged to attend an informational meeting here at Fort Couch on Thursday, February 7th in the Guidance Room during period 7. There will be a sign up sheet and an informational handout sheet given to all those who attend about upcoming practice and tryout dates and will also explain what the auxiliary is all about. If you are unable to but have an interest, please email or stop and see Ms. Polfus in the office with any questions or to pick up a form.
      There will be a music rehearsal for all guys in the musical today during period 7 in room 118. There will be a meeting for all students interested in participating in the pit today during period 7 in the LGI
       
    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) The Lady Panthers dropped two games to Thomas Jefferson Middle school. Leading the way for the eighth grade was Abby Weber, Emily DeJohn and Kylie Mosler. Taylor Latiolais paced the 7th grade. There is not practice today. Please go home on. your bus.

    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) At the North Allegheny wrestling tournament, Ty Shields placed 3rd and Ben Cedar was the runner up. Also, congratulations to Ben Cedar who broke the single-season Ft Couch Wrestling record with The most Pins in a Season (17) and Most Wins in a Season (22). The team has one more tournament left for the year. Good Luck Upper St. Clair wrestling!
      The seventh and eighth grade dropped both games to Trinity Middle School. High score for the eighth grade game was Sydney Rozzo and leading the seventh grade was Taylor Latiolais.
