    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) Attention all girls volleyball players who may be interested in a one-day Volleyball Clinic sponsored by the Pitt Women's Volleyball Club. You can get information about the November 17th event by seeing either Mr. Palmer or Mrs. Polfus in the Main Office.
      Attention Wrestlers: Wrestling season is right around the corner and we are making plans for yet another great year. On Thursday, Nov 14 the Athletic Department is holding a meeting in the LGI during period 7 and would like to share important information with you. Please attend If you are planning to join our wrestling program here at FT Couch.
      Today will start the regular season of the BasketBaller program after school here at Ft Couch.
    Today's slated games will feature two strong matchups. The first matchup will be the highly skilled Tornadoes taking on a strong Avalanche team.
    The second game of this double-header will be a doozy. The Broncos, coached by Mr Bowers, will face off against the high powered Timberwolves.
    This should be a fun-filled Friday afternoon of basketball excitement!

    In other news...
    Did you trick-or-treat for UNICEF? If you helped in collecting money, please remember to turn in your collection boxes to Mrs. Robinson in the guidance office. Prizes will be awarded to those who collected the most! Thank you for all of your support.
     
    In the world of Performing Arts... Chorus rehearsal for all guys during period 7 today in room 118.

    "Student Council members are reminded that the next Student Council meeting is this coming Wednesday, November 4th at 8am in Room 133. Your attendance is mandatory; please talk to Miss Calano if you have any questions."

    In the world of Performing Arts... Women's Ensemble will rehearse during period 7 today in room 118. Mucho Macho rehearsal will take place after school from 3:30 - 4:30pm.  
         
    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) Mr Toth's basketball teams (Tornadoes and Timberwolves) will practice today from 3:30 to 5pm in the Ft Couch gymnasium.

    Are you missing or a hoodie, a lunch box? Is there something that you just can't find? Then take a trip to the office to check out the lost and found shelves by next Wednesday. Anything left after Wednesday will be donated.
     
    In the world of Performing Arts... There will be a rehearsal for all guys in chorus today during period 7 in room 118.

      In support of the US Fund for UNICEF, the High School UNICEF Club is encouraging students to Trick or Treat for UNICEF this Halloween, in addition to trick or treating for candy. HS UNICEF Club members will be coming to Ft. Couch period 7 on Monday, Oct. 28th to talk to you about trick or treating for UNICEF, so please stop by their tables by the stairs on the first and second floors. Prizes will be given to the students who collect the most donations!
    In the world of Performing Arts... Mixed Group will rehearse during period 7 in room 118. The first rehearsal for guys participating in the Mucho Macho festival will take place after school today from 3:30 - 4:30 in the music room.

    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) The Ft Couch Travel basketball team will begin their first practice on Monday, Oct 28 at Boyce MS. A bus will commute you to Boyce at the end of the school day and practice will run until 5:30.

    Student Council News To wrap up our Red Ribbon Week Celebration, Tomorrow is USC Day. We are“One School, one goal, bully and drug free”.

    Wear your favorite Upper St. Clair gear!! The homeroom that has the highest participation percentage gets the final Tootsie Pops stash at the end of the day!
    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) The Ft Couch Travel basketball team will begin their first practice on Monday, Oct 28 at Boyce MS. A bus will commute you to Boyce at the end of the school day and practice will run until 5:30.
      The Travel A basketball team today will begin practicing over at Boyce until 5:30. Please make sure to have your parents pick you up at Boyce at the end of practice.

    Also, any students not playing on the Travel A team but interested playing in our Ft Couch "BasketBallers" program after school should plan to attend practice on Monday, Oct 28 and Tuesday, Oct 29.     Student Council News Tomorrow is Twin or Group Day of our Red Ribbon Week Celebration representing that we can Be Strong Against Drugs and Bullying. Plan your best outfit to wear with your friends! The homeroom that has the highest participation percentage of students will win that Tootsie Pops stash at the end of the day!

    In the world of Performing Arts... There will be a chorus rehearsal for all girls today during period 7 in room 118.
    Student Council News Do you have the craziest socks at Fort Couch? If so, put them on tomorrow morning for Crazy Sock Day. Find those crazy socks and wear them for “Sock it to drugs and bullying”...and help your homeroom to win the tootsie pop stash at the end of the day!! The homeroom with the highest participation percentage will be munching on Tootsie Pops for a sweet ending to the day!

    This week in Sports (Sporting news, practices, etc) All girls volleyball players who are interested in the annual end-of-the-year pizza party should turn their $5 into their coach or the Main Office. The party will be during Period 7 on Tuesday, October 22nd. There will be drinks, pizza, chips, and candy so be sure to turn in your money as soon as possible!
      Attention Girls Volleyball players who will be trying out for a Club Team this winter. Mr. Gremba will be running two practices to help girls prepare for these tryouts. The practices will be Tuesday and Thursday, October 22 and 24 after school at Boyce. A bus will take you to Boyce after school and you will need to be picked up at 5:00. Any questions, please see Mr. Palmer in the Counseling Office.
      Tomorrow will officially start our winter boys basketball season.

    If you are planning to take part in the two-day tryout for our "Travel A" Basketball Team, you must plan to attend the skills evaluation practices supervised by the USC High School coaches. The evaluation practices will be held this week in the Ft Couch gymnasium on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:15.
