SchoolCafe Online System

SchoolCafe Logo

Upper St. Clair families are encouraged to utilize SchoolCafé - a FREE tool to manage their children's meal accounts. SchoolCafé is available online and as an app from the AppStore and Google Play.

  • access your child's purchase history
  • monitor account balances
  • receive low balance alerts
  • make online payments
  • set up automatic payments any time your student's account falls below your pre-determined limit
Download the SchoolCafe App for free
Please note that there is a small convenience fee for online payments. To avoid the convenience fee, families can make meal payments via check (payable to USC School Lunch Program) or cash at any time. Payments can be dropped off in the respective school office or nutrition center. Be sure to place payment in an envelope clearly marked “USC School Lunch Program” with the child’s name, amount and parent contact information in the event of any questions. If the payment is for more than one student, indicate how the money should be split (for example, Johnny = $10.00 and Sally=$15.00). Payment can be made in any amount to best suit a family’s budget.

To create your SchoolCafé account, you will need your child's Student ID #, which can be obtained from Focus/Parent Portal. Be sure to use the 7-digit LOCAL ID. For assistance with Student ID #s, please contact your child's school office.

Student Account Balances

Per school board policy, students will never be denied a reimbursable meal for breakfast or lunch regardless of their account balance. However, students will not be permitted to charge a second meal or a la carte/snack items to their accounts if they have a negative balance. To purchase extra snacks and/or beverages, students must have funds in their lunch account. If adding funds via SchoolCafe, please allow 24 hours for funds to reflect on the student's account.

All families are strongly encouraged to check the balance of their students’ meal accounts online at www.schoolcafe.com. Due to recent changes in the Pennsylvania Public School Code as well as school district policy, our food service staff is not permitted to provide courtesy reminders directly to students regarding low or negative balances. All communication regarding student meal accounts must occur directly with parents/guardians.

Through our meal payment system – www.schoolcafe.com – families have the ability to signup to receive low balance alerts via email and/or text message. We strongly encourage families to signup for these no-cost alerts.

The Nutrition Centers do not restrict purchases of extra snacks and drinks for students. If a parent would like to add restrictions to their student(s) lunch account(s), please contact Gwen St. Cyr (gstcyr@uscsd.k12.pa.us) or Ashley Lindhurst (alindhurst@uscsd.k12.pa.us).
