USC Gymnast Tops Region 7 Competition in Two Events

A Boyce Middle School student earned top honors at the 2026 USA Gymnastics Region 7 Level 7 & 8 Regional Championships, held April 18 at The Miller Center in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Sixth grader Harper Silvis placed first in both the balance beam and floor exercise and finished sixth in the all-around competition for her age group.
Region 7 includes athletes from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, making it one of the most competitive regions in the country.
Harper qualified for regionals following an outstanding performance at the 2026 Pennsylvania Level 7 & 8 State Championships on March 21, also held in Lewisburg. At the state meet, she placed first on vault and floor and captured the all-around title in her age group. She also earned the highest all-around score among all Level 7 gymnasts in Pennsylvania.
Harper trains at Xcel Gymnastics in Cranberry Township.
