Upper St. Clair Approves Leadership Restructuring

The Upper St. Clair School Board approved several organizational changes to the district’s leadership structure during its meeting on June 1, 2026, as part of an effort to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen instructional leadership across the district.
Among the changes, Human Resources Manager Aimee Mack was appointed director of human resources. Mack oversees the district’s three-person human resources department, and the title change creates greater consistency among district leadership positions.
The leadership restructuring also comes as Mark Miller, Eisenhower Elementary School principal and supervisor of elementary education, prepares to retire this summer. In May, the school board approved Dr. Erin Stehle, currently principal of Fort Couch Middle School, as Eisenhower’s next principal.
To better align instructional leadership and support services, the district is eliminating its dual principal/supervisor positions and replacing them with dedicated director-level roles.
Effective July 1, 2026, Dr. Dan O’Rourke, who previously served as Boyce Middle School principal and supervisor of middle level education, will become director of elementary and middle school education. Likewise, Dr. Tim Wagner, who currently serves as Upper St. Clair High School principal and supervisor of secondary education, will transition to the role of director of secondary education.
“These changes are intended to create greater organizational efficiency while providing more focused instructional support and oversight at the district level,” Dr. John Rozzo, superintendent of schools, said.
With Dr. Wagner’s transition to Central Office, the district will immediately begin the search for a new high school principal. The appointment of Dr. Stehle as Eisenhower principal also creates a vacancy at Fort Couch Middle School.
“Our goal is to bring recommendations for both the high school principal and Fort Couch principal positions to the School Board for consideration at the June 15 meeting,” Dr. Rozzo said.
All position changes will take effect July 1, 2026.
