During the event, seven teachers shared their personal career journeys and the experiences that led them to the classroom. Participating teachers included Fred Peskorski, technology education; Chad Erbrecht, mathematics; Corinne Newman, biology; Lena Weinsteiger, biology; Monica Erwin, biology; Dr. Caty Dewalt, English; and Dr. Giulia Gouker, English.

Students described the event as both engaging and impactful, offering insight into the diverse paths that led each teacher to the profession.

“It was extremely inspiring how, although every teacher had their own unique path and challenges, they were able to push past them and become the successful people they are today,” ninth grader Claire Dietiker said.

The event was organized by seniors Tahir Disbudak and Ethan Lin, junior Molly Biedrzycki and Claire Dietiker. The Spark Students into STEAM Club is sponsored by biology teacher Dawn Mostowy.
