Boyce Middle School sixth grader Srinidhi Senthil Kumar recently earned a gold medal for her exceptional clarity of pronunciation and remarkable memory after memorizing the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Hindu scripture consisting of 700 verses, or approximately 2,800 lines.

Srinidhi participated in a global simultaneous recital event held in Allen, Texas, where she joined children from around the world in reciting the sacred text entirely from memory using authentic Sanskrit pronunciation.

“This achievement reflects her dedication, discipline and deep respect for cultural heritage,” said her mother, Pradeepa Senthil Kumar.

Srinidhi’s accomplishment continues a family tradition of scholarship and cultural learning. Her older brother, Kavin, now a 10th grader at Upper St. Clair High School, completed the same recitation in 2022.
