Seniors perform with PMEA Western Region orchestra

Upper St. Clair High School seniors Roselyn Goldstein, violin, and Carlee Santel, trumpet, participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Western Region Orchestra.
The event was held Thursday, Feb. 20 through Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at Richland High School in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
The orchestra was conducted by film and television composer, Chris Thomas. Student musicians performed works by Prokofiev, Bach, John Williams and Thomas himself.
The Upper St. Clair students receive music instruction from Karen Chisholm, orchestra director.
PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization of more than 4,500 members, dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning and performance as well as promoting and supporting music education in schools and communities. PMEA is affiliated with The National Association for Music Education.
