Boyce Middle School students Richard Yi and Keerthan Inampudi along with Fort Couch Middle School students Mateo Lin and Brayden Wong finished in the top 10% of students nationwide.

The NLMC is a leading national competition for elementary and middle school students in grades 2 through 8. Offered twice each year, the competition challenges students to think critically, explore the beauty of mathematics, and build a strong foundation for advanced STEM learning.

The students were led by gifted/enrichment resource teachers Lydia Herman, at Boyce, and Emma McDonnell at Fort Couch.

“We are proud of all of the students who took on this rigorous challenge and demonstrated perseverance, critical thinking, and a strong commitment to academic excellence,” Ms. Herman said.

  • Sixth-grade level: Richard Yi, grade 5
  • Seventh-grade level: Keerthan Inampudi, grade 6
  • Eighth-grade level: Mateo Lin and Brayden Wong, grade 8
