FBLA Students Earn Top Finishes, Qualify for Nationals

Students from Upper St. Clair High School earned national berths in three events at the 2026 Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference held April 13-15 in Hershey

The following students qualified to compete at the 2026 FBLA National Leadership Conference, scheduled for June 29-July 2 in San Antonio:

  • Retail Management – Second place: Siddharth Kumar
  • Computer Game & Simulation – Second place: Matt Beitler & Josh Beitler
  • Management Information Systems – Fourth place: Abby Kusic & Eve Jessic

A total of 53 Upper St. Clair students competed in more than 30 events at the state conference. Several additional students earned top-10 finishes:

  • Marketing – Fifth place: Darsh Kakkad & Will Kreizenbeck
  • Public Administration – Fifth place: Sara Telang
  • Intro to Business Presentation – Sixth place: Spencer Bowden & Vikrant Kamat
  • Sports and Entertainment Management – Sixth place: Lylah Kateeb & Roha Pandya
  • Data Analysis – Seventh place: Harshini Sivakumar
  • Financial Planning – Seventh place: Kelly Qin, Suhavi Singh & Ahana Mendhi
  • Sales Presentation – Eighth place: Olivia Mamakos, Nithya Kommineni & Leela Kulkarni
  • Technology & Support Services – Eighth place: Arjun Kairi
  • Broadcast Journalism – 10th place: Harish Rajaganapathy & Nishesh Saxena

Patrick Manion, social studies teacher, serves as the school’s FBLA adviser.

The state leadership conference featured more than 50 individual and team events across a wide range of business-related topics, including broadcast journalism, business management, coding and programming, data analysis, entrepreneurship, graphic design, hospitality and event management, and marketing. The top four finishers in each event qualified for the national competition.

Future Business Leaders of America is a nonprofit educational organization that prepares students for careers in business by helping them develop leadership skills and explore pathways to business and related professions.

The strong showing at the state conference highlights the continued success of Upper St. Clair High School’s FBLA program and the students’ commitment to developing business, leadership and career-readiness skills.
