The appointments were approved by the school board during its meeting on June 15, 2026.

Both administrators have served in leadership roles as assistant principals at Upper St. Clair High School and will assume their new positions effective July 1, 2026.

“Both Dr. Senger and Dr. Beck are highly respected educators who consistently put students at the center of their work,” Dr. John Rozzo, superintendent of schools, said. “Their leadership, character and dedication make them exceptionally well-suited for these new roles.”

Dr. Senger joined the high school administration in 2021. During her tenure, she has worked closely with students, staff and families while helping to oversee the school's academic and operational programs.

Before joining Upper St. Clair, Dr. Senger served as the 9-12 mathematics coordinator for Pittsburgh Public Schools. She also taught secondary mathematics in the Pittsburgh Public and Canon-McMillan school districts, as well as at Seton-La Salle Catholic High School.

Dr. Senger completed her doctorate degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds a master’s degree in technology education from the California University of Pennsylvania, a bachelors’ degree in secondary education/mathematics from Point Park University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Her appointment follows the promotion of Dr. Timothy Wagner, who will transition from high school principal to director of secondary education. Assistant Principal Mike Joyce will remain in his current role while the district begins a search for an additional assistant principal.

Dr. Beck has served as an assistant principal at Upper St. Clair High School since 2013 and brings more than a decade of leadership experience to his new role at Fort Couch Middle School.

Prior to joining Upper St. Clair, he taught secondary English in the Greensburg Salem and Berlin Brothersvalley school districts. He earned his doctorate and bachelor's degree from Duquesne University and a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

In 2025, Dr. Beck was recognized as Pennsylvania's Assistant Principal of the Year by the Pennsylvania Principals Association and was subsequently named one of three national finalists in the National Assistant Principal of the Year program sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

Dr. Beck succeeds Dr. Erin Stehle, who was recently appointed principal of Eisenhower Elementary School following the retirement of longtime principal Mark Miller. Assistant Principal Gordon Mathews will continue serving alongside Dr. Beck at Fort Couch.

The appointments ensure a seamless transition of leadership at both schools while continuing the district's commitment to academic excellence, student support and community engagement.
