Boyce Musicians Selected for Band Fest

Two Boyce Middle School students recently showcased their musical talents at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Elementary District 1 Band Festival held May 8-9, 2026, at South Fayette High School.
Sixth grader Ava Hauge performed in the percussion section, while fifth grader Ewan Crane represented Boyce on trumpet. The students are members of the Boyce band program under the direction of Don Pickell and Craig Madge.
The PMEA Elementary District 1 Band Festival brings together talented young musicians from across the region for rehearsals and performances focused on musical growth, collaboration and excellence.
PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting quality music education and performance opportunities for students throughout Pennsylvania.
