Bhandari Siblings Excel on State Wrestling Stage

Two Upper St. Clair youth wrestlers earned top finishes at the 2026 Pennsylvania USA Wrestling State Championships in Olympic-style freestyle wrestling.
Streams Elementary fourth grader Maya Bhandari captured a state title in the Girls 10U – 60-pound division, while Boyce Middle School sixth grader Maxwell Bhandari placed fifth in the Boys 12U – 86-pound division.
The 2026 Pennsylvania USA Wrestling (PAUSAW) State Championships were held May 15–17 at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre in State College. The annual event serves as one of the premier youth wrestling competitions in the state, drawing approximately 1,300 athletes from across Pennsylvania.
