7th Graders:
- Finley Garvey, “The Silver Snapper Dragon”

All eight poems will be included within the 2024 Spring Contest Anthology, available in the fall. Less than half of all entries are selected for publication.
Open to students in kindergarten through grade nine, the poetry contest is divided into three grade divisions: K-3, 4-6 and 7-9. Poems must be 21 lines or less and can be written in most any style. Entries are judged on literary merit, creativity and social significance by published writers and/or educators in elementary, secondary and higher education.
The poetry contest is offered three times each year with submission deadlines in December, April and August. Learn more about Creative Communications online: https://www.poeticpower.com/students.
