USC students perform in Footloose – Feb. 8-10

Nine Upper St. Clair students will take the stage in this weekend’s Center for Theater Arts production of “Footloose the Musical.” The show runs Thursday, Feb. 8 through Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, in the Mt. Lebanon High School theater. Nightly performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and a Saturday matinee is offered at 1 p.m.Cast members from Upper St. Clair School District include Milena Casciani, Sal Crawford, Sam Kerber, Kate McClintock-Comeaux, Trevor McClintock-Comeaux, Tyler McClintock-Comeaux, Luke McDonough, Ian Putorti and Hayley Zeringue.
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the door.
In the rural town of Bomont, the rebellious Ren McCormack arrives from Chicago, sparking a fervent desire for change as he challenges the community's strict ban on dancing enforced by Reverend Shaw Moore. Through Ren's determination and with the support of newfound allies, including the minister's daughter Ariel, the musical "Footloose" unfolds as a vibrant tale of defiance and freedom.
The Center for Theater Arts, located in Mt. Lebanon, offers more than 80 classes in the performing arts including singing, dancing, acting and more. The non-profit serves more than 500 children of all ages and abilities.
