Student Council leads Take Your Child to Work Day activities

Upper St. Clair High School Student Council members welcomed more than 70 children of all ages to the high school for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on Thursday, April 25, 2024.Coordinated by Carly Shontz, a junior class senator, the high school students were paired with children of teachers and staff members for a portion of the morning. Children could rotate among several activities, including arts and crafts, Legos, ping pong, Just Dance – Disney, as well as cornhole and other athletic activities in the auxiliary gym. In addition, SHOP@USC offered a button making activity, the Family and Consumer Sciences Department hosted a cookie decorating station and the esports club provided two gaming areas to compete in Mario Kart.
This marked the second year that USCHS Student Council has organized activities for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Mrs. Brooke Tarcson, head of student activities, serves as Student Council adviser.
