7th grader placed first at history bee regional finals

Arjun Kairi, a seventh grader at Fort Couch Middle School, placed first in the National History Bee regional finals – advancing to the national and international levels of the competition. Arjun traveled to Ohio to participate in the Dayton Regional Finals on April 6, 2024.The bees are buzzer-based quiz competitions for elementary, middle and high school-aged students throughout the United States. Each of the bees is composed of three competition stages, including the Online Regional Qualifying Exam, the Regional Finals, and the National Championships.
This marks the third year in a row that Arjun will compete at nationals. He made it to the semifinals last year and the quarterfinals in 2022.
The National History Bee, sponsored by the International Academic Competitions, will be held May 23-27, 2024, in Orlando, Fla.
