Three violinists selected for Orchestra Fest

Three Upper St. Clair sixth grade musicians were recently accepted to the PMEA District 1 Elementary Orchestra Fest, held March 17, 2023, at North Hills Middle School. Violinists Darko Kosovec, Sunny Liu and Matthew Pfeiffer participated in the day-long event.

Darko, Sunny and Mathew are members of the Boyce Middle School orchestra, led by Christine Hestwood.

Pierce Cook served as guest conductor for the Orchestra Festival. Mr. Cook serves as the music director for the TRYPO Symphonette and teaches orchestra at Mellon Middle School in the Mt. Lebanon School District.
