Seussical cast and crew raise $3,000 for charity
The cast and crew of the Upper St. Clair High School musical, “Seussical,” raised a record $3,000 in donations to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The show wrapped up its two-week run on Saturday, March 19.
Each year members of the show’s cast and crew select a non-profit organization that directly relates to a member of the musical family.
“At the end of each performance, the cast members are in the lobby passing ‘the hat’ as patrons leave,” Connie Gibson, the show’s assistant producer, said. “This gives the musical family the ability to pay it forward and help others.”
In addition to the unprecedented support for this year’s charity of choice, students and staff were excited to be back on stage.
“It was a fantastic experience for all, with everyone thrilled to be back and involved in live theater,” Ms. Gibson said.
