Five selected to PMEA Region 1 Chorus

Five Upper St. Clair High School students were selected through competitive audition to participate in the 2020 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Region 1 Chorus Festival. Musicians include Isabela Couoh, Alto 1; Hannah James, Alto 1; Ben Lang, Bass 2; Maddie Nolen, Alto 2; and Joe Henry Phillips, Bass 1.

The PMEA Region 1 Chorus Festival will be held at Hickory High School, February 26-28, 2020. Upper St. Clair students are led by Lorraine Milovac, music teacher and choral director.

PMEA District 1 includes school districts from Allegheny, Fayette, Green, Washington and Westmorland counties. PMEA Region 1 is comprised of PMEA District 1 and District 5, which includes Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties.

PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization of more than 4,500 members, dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning and performance as well as promoting and supporting music education in schools and communities. PMEA is affiliated with The National Association for Music Education.
