Scheduled District-wide Early Dismissals

The 2026-27 School Calendar includes two scheduled districtwide Early Dismissal/Modified Kindergarten days:

Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2026 (starting Winter Break)
Thursday, June 3, 2027 (last day of the school year)

2026-27 Early Dismissals: Dec. 23 and June 3

Dismissal Times:

High School: 11:20 a.m.
Elementary Schools:
- Grades 1-4: 11:55 a.m.
- AM Modified Kindergarten: regular start-10:10 a.m.
- PM Modified Kindergarten: 10:10 a.m.-11:55 a.m.
Middle Schools: 12:20 p.m.

All students in the school district will be dismissed after attending a half-day of school. This is different from other Early Release Days for Open House, Celebration of Learning and/or S.T.A.R. Night, when students are released two hours before the end of the school day.

Please note that lunch will NOT be provided.

Modified Kindergarten for Early Dismissals

Morning Kindergarten: regular start-10:10 a.m. All morning kindergarten students will be picked up in the morning according to their regular bus schedule. Students will be dismissed at 10:10 a.m. (rather than the usual 11:15 a.m. dismissal).
Afternoon Kindergarten: 10:10 a.m.-11:55 a.m. Afternoon kindergarten will begin at 10:10 a.m. Students will depart on their regular bus at 11:55 a.m. with grades 1-4.

Early Dismissals (page 13)
What if school is dismissed early due to Open House or teacher in-service?
On district-planned early dismissal days, we operate our After School Program from the time of dismissal until 6:00 PM. Unless you notify us, we anticipate your child will attend the after school program if an early dismissal occurs on a day your child is normally scheduled to attend. If your child is normally scheduled to attend on an early dismissal day, you will see an additional charge on your statement for the additional hours. As with all tuition, if your child is scheduled to attend on one of these days and he is absent, the charge is non-refundable.

Days of Operation (page 17)
On which days do the programs operate?
In the K-Plus and Before & After-School Programs, our programs operate during school days, teacher in-service days and early dismissal days from the first day of school through the last day of school.

On days when school is delayed due to snow, programs will also be delayed by 2 hours and will operate an extended morning program until the start of the school day.
Our programs do not operate during school holidays, vacations, or days when school has been cancelled due to weather.
