Photo Gallery: Homecoming Week ends in victory

Seniors Danny Shanholtzer and Valentina Sobarzo were crowned Homecoming King and Queen during halftime of last Friday's football game. The USC Panthers snapped Peters Township’s 17-game regular season winning streak with a 21-7 victory at Panther Stadium - marking the program's 500th win. Upper St. Clair moves to 6-0 on the season.

Five named to September Deans’ List

Upper St. Clair High School administrators named five outstanding students to the monthly Deans’ List. Honorees and the teachers who nominated them were recognized at a special breakfast event on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024. Read more & view photos

South Hills College & Career Fair – Tuesday, Oct. 8

Interested in exploring post-high school options? Plan to attend the annual South Hills College & Career Fair from 6 - 8:30 p.m. this Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Bethel Park High School. Students will have the opportunity to learn about many different types of colleges and post-secondary programs, including 2- and 4-year schools, trade schools and the military. There will be 150 vendors in attendance! The event is free to attend. Students should register to receive a barcode, which allows students to easily share their information with the colleges/programs they are interested in.

Speakers Wanted: USCHS Lunch & Learn Series

The USCHS Lunch & Learn series brings in various professionals to discuss not only what their current career is, but also how they got there. The purpose is to give students an opportunity to explore a variety of careers through short, engaging events during the school day. Open to all USCHS students, the same presentation is given during each of the three 30-minute lunches.

The Lunch & Learn events can be found through the USC Lunch & Learn EventBrite Collection. The series was developed through the school’s STEAM Pathway to help meet program requirements related to career exploration. Please reach out to Tracy Smith, steampathway@uscsd.k12.pa.us, with any questions regarding Lunch & Learn or if you would like to volunteer as a speaker.

Fort Couch Open House -- Thursday, Oct. 10

We are excited to welcome you to our Fort Couch Middle School Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10. Open House is an opportunity for teachers to communicate key information about Fort Couch Middle School. Your student’s team will present information about curricula, expectations, and course offerings. There will be an early dismissal for Fort Couch students ONLY on Oct. 10 at 1:40 P.M. (All other USC schools will have a normal school day.)

Halls of Fame set for Oct. 17 – purchase tickets online

Ten individuals have been selected for induction into the Upper St. Clair High School Halls of Fame. Eight alumni and two retired teachers will be honored at the 25th annual event on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024. Join us for a reception, dinner and ceremony. Tickets are $25. Fort on the Field - Oct. 25

Marching band season is off to an exciting start! The final regular season home football game features our annual Fort on the Field, an opportunity for 7th & 8th graders to have a side-by-side experience with current members of the USCHS marching band. This year's Fort on the Field football game is on Friday, Oct. 25 vs. Baldwin. Learn more & register your 7th/8th grader

Healthy Habits – Happy Kids: Book Club kicks off Oct. 15

The PTC Wellness Committee, in partnership with the school district, is pleased to present: Healthy Habits - Happy Kids. Join us to discuss the bestselling book, “The Anxious Generation.” Author Jonathan Haidt is leading a movement that brings families and communities together to improve youth mental health, and increase childhood independence and free play.
