Did you know...
Our Food Services Department is currently offering a $500 sign-on bonus for new nutrition center workers. Positions primarily work 4.5 hours per day (morning through lunch time) Monday through Friday when school is in session. It’s a great option for families with school-age children!

Six named National Merit Semifinalists
Six Upper St. Clair High School seniors were recently named Semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition. The following students scored in the top one percent of all juniors completing the PSAT in October 2023: Jamie Barrett, Roshan Mishra, Shriya V. Narasimhan, Ishaan Sharma, Isabel Vilensky and Sophia Whitman. Read more
158 qualify for AP Scholar recognition
The College Board recently announced that 158 Upper St. Clair High School students and 2024 graduates earned AP Scholar recognition for their exceptional achievement in the college-level Advanced Placement Program during the 2023-24 school year. In May 2024, 428 Upper St. Clair students completed 884 AP exams in 29 subjects – earning an 83% pass rate. AP tests are scored 1-5; students must earn a 3 or higher to pass and possibly qualify for college credit. Read more
Photo Gallery: New Family Dinner
New families with children in grades 1-12 enjoyed the annual New Family Welcome Event hosted by the Parent Teacher Council (PTC) on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, in the high school’s nutrition center. The event, which included dinner from several local eateries and complimentary tickets to the football game, was led by Annika Geanopulos, Welcome Committee chairperson. Volunteers for the evening included members of the PTC, along with several district administrators and school board members. Read more & view photos
USCHS junior one of three national essay contest winners
Upper St. Clair High School junior Arth Italiya is one of three student winners in the national essay contest sponsored by IndustryWeek and the Subortus Project. Arth’s article titled, “Manufacturing Makes Us Who We Are,” was published by IndustryWeek, a renowned manufacturing-focused publication, on Sept. 3, 2024. Read more
Student earns Honorable Mention in Rube Goldberg contest
A Fort Couch Middle School student recently earned Honorable Mention in the Rube Goldberg Crazy Contraption Cartoon Contest. Seventh grader Tyler Marsh competed in the 18 and under Animation Division. The contest, open to students worldwide, asks participants to imagine, draw and submit a cartoon that solves any problem. At the heart of any Rube Goldberg Machine is taking a common, everyday task that can be accomplished quite easily, and making it far more complicated. Inventions were required to have between seven and 26 steps. Read more
Robotics team hosts outreach program in Pakistan
An Upper St. Clair High School robotics team – BotsBurgh 11792 – hosted a summer outreach event 7,456 miles away at Hakimi School in Karachi, Pakistan. Following the event, BotsBurgh donated five hummingbird kits to support the creation of a robotics curriculum in the school. Read more
Halls of Fame to welcome 10 inductees
Ten individuals have been selected for induction into the Upper St. Clair High School Halls of Fame. Eight alumni and two retired teachers will be honored at the 25th annual event on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024. Join us for a reception, dinner and ceremony. Tickets are $25. Coming this fall: Healthy Habits – Happy Kids
The PTC Wellness Committee, in partnership with the school district, is pleased to present: Healthy Habits - Happy Kids. Join us to discuss the bestselling book, “The Anxious Generation.” Author Jonathan Haidt is leading a movement that brings families and communities together to improve youth mental health, and increase childhood independence and free play. Upper St. Clair is the perfect place to start! Sessions covering sections of the book will be offered throughout the upcoming 2024-25 school year. Details will be available soon.
Registration for USC Odyssey of the Mind is open!
It's TIME to get creative! Registration for Odyssey of the Mind is now available online. We are forming in person teams for the 2024-2025 season.
