Sam Levine Legacy Pickleball Tournament: Aug. 1 (register by July 15)

This tournament is being held in honor of USCHS graduate Sam Levine who passed away on December 16th, 2025 from a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. 100% of proceeds and any additional donations go toward fighting childhood cancer and supporting cancer research.

Tournament Details:

What: Guaranteed to play 4 pickleball games + raffle + other entertainment provided!
Registration Fee: $60 per team of 2 (includes 2 tournament t-shirts)

Robotics Summer Camp (gr. 1-8): July 13-17

The USCHS robotics team Steel City Dynamics is hosting a week-long robotics camp for students in grades 1-8.

Each robotics camp is limited to 20 kids. It will be on first come first serve basis. An email will be sent regarding the status of your request. If your child is placed on the waitlist and a slot opens up, you will be notified.

Cost: $100
When: July 13-17
Where: 108 Commerce Blvd., Bridgeville
Grades 1-4: 9 a.m. - noon
Grades 5-8: 1 - 4 p.m.

Grades 1-4: Students will use VEX 123 Kits to learn robotics through hands-on activities, fun games, and exciting challenges. Throughout the camp, they will learn basic coding concepts by programming their robots to complete challenging tasks and solve problems, all in a fun and open-learning environment.

Grades 5 to 8: Students will use VEX GO Kits to build and create their own unique robots while solving fun challenges throughout the camp. They will also learn basic block coding skills to help them program their robots to complete tasks, all in a fun and open-learning environment.

USC Youth Volleyball Camp (gr. 5-9): July 14-16

The USC 2026 Youth Volleyball Camp is now accepting registration for the annual summer camp.

- Gr. 5-7: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Gr. 8-9: 7:15-8:45 p.m.
WHERE: USCHS main gym
COST: $100 - includes t-shirt and Rita's Ice

The camp is run by the 2025 Section Champ USC Girls Volleyball team and coaches.

USCHS Girls Soccer Youth Camp (Pre-K-gr. 6): July 20-23

Organized by the USC Girls Soccer Boosters, the USCHS Girls Soccer Team, and Head Coach Zach Hamilton. Includes technical training and demonstration, individual skill challenges, small-sided games...LOADS of FUN and Rita's Ice on the last day!

WHO: Boys & Girls Grades Pre-K through 6th Grade of all skill levels welcome to participate
When: July 20-23 5:30-7pm (rain date July 24)
Where: USC High School Stadium
Cost: $75 per player; $50 for each additional child

Camp is always well-attended and we don't want to have to turn anyone away, so please register today! Registration deadline is July 18th!

TeraBridges XRP Robotics Camp (gr. 7-8): July 20-24

TeraBridges XRP Robotics Camp is a hands-on summer camp for incoming 7th and 8th grade students interested in robotics, coding, engineering and problem-solving.

Camp Cost & Length: Only $100 for 5 days!

Campers will work with Upper St. Clair High School robotics students and mentors to build, code, test, and improve robots using the XRP robotics platform. Throughout the week, students will learn Python programming, engineering design, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills through project-based, hands-on activities.

This camp is taught by Upper St. Clair High School’s FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team, TeraBridges. TeraBridges has competed at the FIRST World Championship and recently won an international Premier Event. The camp is designed to be an accessible entry point to robotics for younger students and a pathway into FIRST programs, including FTC at the high school level. RMU Basketball Day Camp (gr.2-9): July 20-23

For boys entering grades 2-9.

Day Camp: July 20-23
Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Cost: $325

This camp is designed to provide campers with skill development and instruction directly from the RMU coaching staff and players, all within RMU Basketball facilities. Campers will have opportunities to compete in drills, work as a team in 5-on-5 competitions, and win contest prizes. Each camper will receive a T-Shirt and Basketball.

Women for a Healthy Environment Healthy Learning Family Event: July 22

Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE), a Pittsburgh nonprofit dedicated to helping families create healthier homes and communities, is hosting a Healthy Learning Family Event.

WHERE: Bethel Park Community Center

During the event, families will participate in hands-on activities about healthy homes, indoor air quality, water, and green cleaning, while children enjoy environmental education activities and supervised childcare.

FREE Steel City Codes Summer Camp (gr. 4-8)

Steel City Codes is excited to offer a free, week-long virtual coding camp for students in 4th through 8th grade in which high school volunteers will be teaching computer science to students. Our camp is a fun and interactive introduction to the fundamentals of computer science.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the interest form or scan the QR code on the attached flyer. To help us choose the best dates for the camp, the form will ask families to select the weeks they are available this summer.

Once we finalize the camp dates, we will send more information to everyone who completes the interest form, including course options and additional details.

South Fayette Youth Volleyball (ages 7-15): starts Sept. 12

Join the fastest-growing youth volleyball program in South Fayette! Boys and girls ages 7-15, for beginner, intermediate and experienced players. (co-ed league divided into four divisions: ages 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-15) Divisions are determined by child’s age on November 1, 2026.

League is directed by a Clinician (Head Volleyball Coach) who organizes, instructs, supervises and maintains volunteer coaches in the instruction of each team. Clinician (Head Volleyball Coach) has experience playing and/or coaching volleyball at the high school, club, college or higher level.

Registration fee includes a t-shirt and a medal. Players should bring their volleyball.

We recommend the Molten VBU12 for divisions 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 or IVU-BLU for division 13-15 because they are good quality, official size volleyballs with a soft cover. If they don’t own one, it can be purchased at www.usyvl.org/store.

Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program supports homeowners and renters across Pennsylvania. This program provides a rebate ranging from $380 to $1,000 to eligible older adults and people with disabilities aged 18 and older. The amount of money you will receive is based on your income. This program is supported by funds from the Pennsylvania Lottery and gaming.

Under Pennsylvania law, the Department of Revenue evaluates the program before the June 30 deadline every year. If extra funds are available, the deadline is extended to December 31. Applications postmarked by that date will be accepted for processing.
