Mrs. Schaffer
My name is Kris Schaffer, and I am thrilled to be a 2nd grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each student and their family. We will have a FUN year learning new things and making great friends. Every student has many unique talents and strengths to contribute to our class. I can’t wait to see the smiling faces of my 2nd grade Super Heroes who are ready for a great adventure!
Before coming to Eisenhower, I was a 6th grade Math/Science teacher for 2 years and a 5th grade Math/Science teacher for 6.5 years at Boyce Middle School. My family had a wonderful opportunity to relocate and live in Lexington, Kentucky for the past 2.5 years before returning to Pittsburgh.
I am extremely blessed to have a loving family. I have a fantastic and supportive husband and two amazing children. My daughter, Peyton, is heading to Marshall University with a golf scholarship, and my son, Triston, is a junior here at USC high school. He loves playing lacrosse.
When I am not in the classroom, I love spending time with my sweet puppy, Hazel. I enjoy reading, exercising, watching movies and sports, and doing anything as long as I am with my family.
I am so lucky to spend my days doing what I love. My goal is for each student to be excited for learning and have the desire to be their best every day. I hope they find their inner Super Hero so that they will always do the right thing for themselves and others.
