Assistant HS Football Coach

BACKGROUND:

I am a 1992 graduate of Upper St. Clair High School where I was a member of the football and baseball teams. I graduated from the University of Akron in 1997 where I played football and received my degree in Political Science. I served as a social studies teacher and football coach in the Mt. Lebanon School District from 2007-2017. I am currently teaching Civics and World Geography at Upper St. Clair. I live in Upper St. Clair with my wife Misty, son Ryan, and daughter Bryn. My passion is teaching and coaching and I am proud to be a member of the USC staff!

COURSES TAUGHT:

AMERICAN CIVICS - Civics is the study of the workings of our political system and the rights and responsibilities of good citizenship. Students investigate all levels of government (federal, state, and local) and focus on their participating role in the political, social, and economic aspects of our democracy.

WORLD GEOGRAPHY - The overall goal of World Geography is to provide the student with a core of knowledge about the world’s geographic regions and how to relate this knowledge to events in today’s rapidly changing world. In addition, the acquisition of geography skills is stressed along with the application of these skills to the various geographic regions of the world. Through these activities, the students will learn to relate the physical geography to the economic, political, social, historical, and cultural aspects of human activity. We will use a comparative model to accomplish these goals.
