Dear Parents,
My name is Jourdan Chahine and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This is my eighth year at Baker Elementary and my thirteenth year as a classroom teacher. I was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, but I grew up in Pittsburgh and attended Chartiers Valley School District. I graduated from Penn State University in 2006, with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education. In 2009, I became a certified reading specialist from Duquesne University when I received my master’s in Reading and Language Arts. I am married to my best friend and we are the proud parents of two little girls, Layla and Lilyana.
I am really looking forward to working with you and your child this year! My goal is to provide every child with meaningful, appropriate, and challenging learning experiences designed to fit his/her individual needs. Building relationships with students and their families is something I strongly value and believe is important for the happiness and success of every child. Please know that I welcome your questions, comments, and concerns throughout the year. It is going to be wonderful working together this year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jourdan Chahine
