I am an elementary resource support teacher at Streams.
My current responsibilities at Streams include providing math concept reinforcement, skill practice, and problem solving practice for students in grades K - 4 in a small group setting. I plan for and provide small group math intervention for students in order to provide them opportunities to succeed in their reading skills. I also provide daily in class support in reading and math for students. I am also happy to provide parent resources at home to help children progress and be the best they can be in reading and math skills!
This is my 21st year teaching at Streams and and my 18th year as a resource teacher at Streams. Prior to serving as a resource support teacher at Streams, I taught 3rd grade at Streams for 3 years. Prior to teaching at Streams in the Upper St. Clair School District, I taught with Pittsburgh Public Schools in the Early Intervention Program for students with special needs and in the middle school program there. I have a masters degree in Early Intervention from the University of Pittsburgh. I am a Reading Specialist and have a Reading Specialist Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh. I graduated from Grove City College with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development.
I am proud to say that I also live in Upper St. Clair with my husband, Greg, and our son, Daniel. We love being a part of the community and I love seeing so many families in the community when we are out and about. I feel so fortunate to have worked with so many wonderful families throughout all of the years here in Upper St. Clair, and I look forward to continuing to support students and their families at Streams!
