• Financial and other support to the Upper St. Clair School District is provided by many organizations including the following:

Parent Teacher Associations ("PTA")- The PTA is the largest (not for profit) volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States, comprised of parents, educators, students, and other citizens. The PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children. The PTA misson is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this state. For more information please visit their state website located at http://papta.org/. Shown below are the links to our individual building PTA web sites and to the USC PTA Council site, which is an "umbrella" organization for all of our PTA units.
Parent Teacher Student Organization ("PTSO") - PTSO is an independent organization that supports the students, parents, and teachers of the Upper St. Clair High School. The PTSO is comprised of a vibrant group who are actively involved in providing the USC high school students with various programs and speakers and financial support for many activities. Weekly, the PTSO sends out newsletters via email to keep the parents and teachers informed of all of the activities taking place throughout the high school. Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair - The Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair is committed to building a sense of community by supporting activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for Upper St. Clair residents. Organized by residents concerned about the future of our community, the Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair is one of a growing number of municipality foundations across the United States. The Community Foundation's goal is to augment the many advantages to living in Upper St. Clair by providing financial support for special programs and projects that are not funded by tax dollars. Booster Organizations - The Upper St. Clair School District is fortunate to have many booster organizations that are committed to insuring the continuation of extracurricular programs for all kids. Through their leadership and support, educational experiences of all kids are enhanced and our children are treated with fairness, respect and dignity, so that they have the opportunity to grow to their personal potential. The Upper St. Clair Booster organizations supporting our students include band, baseball, basketball, cheer, cheer/dance, choral, crew, field hockey, football, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball and wrestling.

Employees - Our many dedicated employees devote their time and educational expertise in teaching and challenging our students. This commitment to excellence is reflected in the various awards the School District has received. We are most proud to note that our School District currently flies ten United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon "Excellence In Education" flags, one or more awards for every individual USC school building, a privilege shared by only three other school districts in the entire country.

Residents- Our residents have made a commitment to our community and School District by their selection to locate their families in our School District. Their insight and support on many initiatives has been welcome and they have been a critical component in the success of our community and School District.
