Dear Second Grade Families,
Welcome to Second Grade at Eisenhower Elementary! I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Cathryn Rodgers and I am honored to be your child's second grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary. I completed my student teaching here in the Spring of 2009 and graduated from Duquesne University with a Masters in Elementary Education.
I believe that parent-teacher communication is the key to a child's educational success. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or if a situation arises that needs special attention. Please feel free to participate in your child's second grade year as much are you able. Helping hands are always needed and there will be many opportunities. Whether it is helping with field trips, class parties, or Math-a-Thon, any participation will greatly enrich our class experience.
