• The students at Eisenhower have a broad range of extracurricular activities to choose from. There is something for everyone!


    Chorus (4th Grade) Mrs. Strauch

    </pThe chorus meets once each week after school and presents two performances per school year under the direction of the music teacher.  The winter program is presented in concert form and the spring performance is in the form of a musical with a modest set and costumes.

    For the 2008-2009 school year the Chorus meets at 2:45-3:30 after school on Mondays.

    <spanArt Club (4th Grade) Mrs. Scureman

    The art club meets with the art teacher to involve students in a variety of special arts and crafts projects and work with many different materials and art media.  A before-school session and an after-school session of art club are available.
    For the 2008-2009 school year the Art Club meets on Tuesdays at 7:30-8:15 for the AM group and 2:45-3:15 on Thursdays for the PM group.

    Intramurals (4th Grade) Mrs. Olack

    <spanThe intramurals program for boys and girls meets weekly before
    school in the gym under the direction of the physical education
    teacher.  The intramurals program is designed to develop skills
    in a variety of sports and games. Some of the activities include: soccer, basketball, pin knockdown, football, hockey, kickball,
    dance and gymnastics.

    For the 2008-2009 school year intramurals on Thursdays at 7:40 - 8:10.

    Strings (Grades 3 & 4) Ms. Scandrol

    Students in grades 3 and 4 have the opportunity to receive instrumental lessons once per weekfor the. Working in small groups, they apply the musical elements learned in music class and learn the new skill of how to read music. The results of all their hard work is on display during a concert in the spring.


    Band (4th Grade) Mr. Wayland

    Students in 4th grade have the opportunity to receive instrumental lessons in small groups.


    Eisenhower Extreme (4th Grade)

    <bThis is a student-generated newspaper for the school. The Extreme Team includes reporters and editors from our 4th grade classrooms. They meet first thing in the morning when their edition is being published and report on the school’s current events, sports and special interest stories.  There is also a grade level update in each edition. The newspaper is published 4 times per year.

    For the 2008-2009 school year the writing club meets Wednesdays at 7:30 - 8:15.

     Eisenhower Extras (Grades K- 4)

    A variety of PTA sponsored classes are offered throughout the course of the school year during fall, winter and spring sessions. The classes offer students an opportunity to explore an area of interest such as basketball, karate, drawing and painting. Each class has a fee associated with it and runs for several weeks. Additional information can be obtained in the school office or through the Eisenhower Extras PTA Committee.
