Welcome! My name is Christine Finnegan. I am a special education teacher at Boyce Middle School. I have been in the district for many years. Before coming to USC I worked at PLEA with students with autism and with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit with students with a variety of exceptionalities. I am thrilled to be working with you and your child. I feel that you are the most important advocate for your child. Therefore, it is also my job to empower you to be the best teacher you can be. Together we are a team and I encourage any input or suggestions you may have about the educational experience your child is receiving.
I have a BA in Communication and Psychology from Duquesne University. I have an MS from the University of Pittsburgh in Development Psychology and an MS from Duquesne University in Special Education. I am also certified to teach all elementary levels. I have a very close knit family, all of whom are teachers! My husband, Patrick, teaches History at Oakland Catholic High School. I am also the proud mom of two girls!
