I graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education. I started substituting for the Upper St. Clair School District in May 2003. I then became a permanent substitute at Boyce Middle School and met my future husband, Matt Mellinger. We now have two healthy, beautiful children.

Before my children were born, I pursued my master's degree at California University. My focus was in the Principal K-12 program.  My goal is to continue my education and achieve my doctorate in some avenue of education.
