I received an undergraduate degree in Health and Physical education from Slippery Rock University and a Masters degree in Reading from Clarion University. I began teaching/coaching at USC high school in 1993. Over the years I have taught all grades in the high school but currently I am the 9th grade Wellness teacher. Besides being a football coach for the past 30 years, I have also coached track and field, wrestling, and softball.

Courses Taught:9th grade Wellness.WELLNESS EDUCATION
Wellness Education is a requirement for all students in grades 9, 10, and 11. Wellness Education provides students with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to achieve and maintain a physically active and healthy lifestyle. Students will learn the importance of making healthy choices throughout their lives and that all choices have consequences, both short and long term. All students will build on their understanding of the principles of exercise in grades 9-11. Students will participate in a variety of lifetime activities to promote stress management and relaxation. They will take part in team sports that foster team building strategies and good sportsmanship. In addition safety measures and many crucial life lessons will also be learned.

10th and 11th grade summer school Wellness co-coordinator / teacher: During June and July the wellness department has offered courses for these 2 grades. Around 200 students have participated in this program each summer. All attempts are made for the summer program/in-school program to be identical.
Football coach: I am beginning my 24th year coaching football at USC. Specifically my areas are with the varsity/JV running backs, kickoff return team and JV coach. In the off season I am part of the weight room/conditioning program.
