I have been a teacher in the district since January of 2000. I have taught Painting and Drawing, 3D Art, Ceramics, Art History, RE Computer Appications, Intro to 2D, 2D Studio and IB Visual Arts. I also spent two years at Baker Elementary teaching art.
I hold a BA Art History/Studio Arts, University of Pittsburgh and an MA Art Education from Carlow University.
In 2009 I was awarded a Fulbright/Hays Scholarship (Art & Society: Brazil/U.S. Educational Partnership) through the University of Pittsburgh Latin American Studies Department and the Andy Warhol Museum, where I spent five weeks in Brazil conducting research for lesson plans involving the art and architecture of Brazil. In the summer of 2018 I traveled with the group Classrooms Without Borders trip through their Discovering Spain: An Axis of Faiths, Cultures and Empires program.
