I am so happy to be teaching at Upper St. Clair High School! I previously taught in the West Allegheny and New Brighton Area school districts. Prior to entering the teaching profession, I was employed by the U.S. Steel Corporation (USS) as a maintenance supervisor in an integrated steel plant. It was during high school that I first felt "the calling" to become a teacher, but it was not until I was in the workforce that I realized that teaching was the career path I needed to pursue. Becoming a teacher was the best decision I ever made (besides marrying my wife).
I graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I also attended Duquesne University, where I earned my teaching certificate and an M.S. in Education. I also attended the University of Pittsburgh, where I earned my credentials in school administration. In 2020, I was fortunate enough to earn National Board Certification.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children, repairing things, building things, home improvement projects, listening to music, and simply relaxing around a camp fire.
This year, I will be teaching IB Physics (SL & HL) and Academic Physics.
