PYP Inquiry Exhibition
The PYP exhibition represents a significant event in the life of a PYP school and student, combining the essential elements of the PYP and sharing them with the whole school community. As a culminating experience, fourth grade students work to exhibit attributes of the student profile that have been developing throughout their years in the program.
Students work in partnership with a faculty mentor in order to complete independent research, prepare a visual display, and rehearse an oral presentation. At the Inquiry Exhibition, all fourth grade students communicate their learning to the whole school and to members of the community.
The exhibition unit takes place under an organizing theme. The students are required to participate in a collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process that involves them in identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-life issues of problems.
The subject of the inquiry exhibition should be a real world issue or problem, local or global.
