Course Description: This course is designed for students who wish to complete next year’s wellness education requirement over the summer for the 2024-2025 school year. The 2024 Summer Wellness Program is a hybrid model requiring students to participate in-person and online - there is no longer a completely virtual/online option. This course will follow the curriculum taught in person during the school year. Students must attend in-person wellness sessions each weekday (Monday-Friday) throughout the duration of the course at the time slot that is selected during registration. Students will have access to the online course materials through Canvas and will be required to complete 6 hours of health content per semester (12 total hours for 10th grade and 6 total hours for 11th grade). This includes, but is not limited to, text material, videos, quizzes, and written assignments. All students must log into Canvas on June 7th for introduction instructions and to begin coursework.
