• Veterans Honored During Veterans Day Observance at Veterans Park

    The School District and Township of Upper St. Clair hosted a Veterans Day Observance at Veterans Monument Park on Wednesday, November 11.

    Mr. Bill Babcock served as the Master of Ceremony for the Observance. Reverend Ronald Weryha, Pastor at Faith Lutheran Church, gave the opening Invocation and closing Benediction. Members of the Marine Corps League Color Guard Detachment 726 posted and retired the Colors. Mr. Jim Roddey, former and first Chief Executive of Allegheny County, gave the Veterans Day Address.

    The High School Marching Band, under the direction of Mr. Don Pickell, performed the National Anthem and Armed Forces on Parade. The High School Mens’ Ensemble and the High School Chanteclairs, under the direction of Ms. Lorraine Milovac, sang "America, The Beautiful" and "God Bless America," respectively. High School student James Boston played "Taps."

    The South Hills Veterans Honor Guard from American Legion Post 760 of Bethel Park and VFW Post 6664 of Library performed a rifle salute.
