Film Documentary "The Family Next Door" Shared at Staff Development In-services
Thank you to the Lund Family and Director Barry Reese for sharing the documentary "The Family Next Door" with School District staff members at in-service training sessions.
Barry Reese, director of several acclaimed film documentaries, has produced "The Family Next Door," a documentary about autism. The film features his neighbors Don and Donna Lund and their four children. The film depicts the challenges faced by the family and how their love, patience, and courage help them deal with the endless issues that fill their lives.
“I offer a special thanks to director Barry Reese and the Lund family for agreeing to share this very powerful documentary with our staff members at in-service training sessions,” stated Dr. Patrick T. O’Toole, Superintendent of Schools. “Donna and Donny Lund participated in discussions during the in-services by sharing information from a very personal perspective thereby enabling our staff to better understand the complexities of children like Donny and his brother, Brian.”
