"Kiss Me, Kate" Is the Spring Musical at the USC High School!
This comedic production, set in Baltimore in the 1940s, is coming to Upper St. Clair High School! Highlighting the best of Cole Porter’s lively career as a composer, "Kiss Me, Kate" includes songs such as “Another Op’nin, Another Show,” “Wunderbar,” “Too Darn Hot,” and, of course, “Kiss Me, Kate.” The annual spring musical is performed over the first two weekends in March: Friday and Saturday, March 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m.; and Thursday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the USCHS Theatre.
Providing overall guidance to the 200+ student company and 100 Theatre Angels (adult volunteers) are Executive Producers Jane Dodd & Tim Wagner, Drama Director J.R. Hall, Choral/Vocal Director Lorraine Milovac, Music Director Don Pickell, and Choreographers Shari Opfermann & Katie Boyle. In addition, for every adult position, there is at least one student “running the show” behind-the-scenes as a member of the student leadership team.
Opportunities exist for local businesses to advertise and become show sponsors and underwriters, for this and all remaining musicals held at the USCHS and Boyce theaters in 2015. Please contact Tim Wagner at 412-833-1600, extension 2530, for more information or if your company or association would be interested in enhancing its image within the community by earning promotional limelight.
