Family and Consumer Sciences
Students are introduced to foods and nutrition, consumerism and sewing/textile activities that will help them learn basic life skills necessary for taking care of themselves in the real world.  Sixth grade students are introduced to hand and machine sewing skills and apply the consumer concepts of buying and decision making for goods that middle school students use and enjoy. Safety and collaboration is embedded in the FACS curriculum.
