Lorraine A. Milovac
Miss Milovac is the choral director at Upper St. Clair High School where she directs the Women's Choir, Men's Ensemble, Clarion Choir, Pantheon Choir, Staff Choir and the Chanteclairs. She also teaches AP Music Theory and Theatre, sponsors the International Thespian Club and is the vocal director for the school's musicals. Prior to teaching at Upper St. Clair, Lorraine was the high school choral director in the Woodland Hills School District. This is Lorraine's thirteenth year as the Director of the Women's Choral Ensemble at the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, she is the Assistant Director/Youth Choir Director at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair and has held previous positions in local churches as director of music, soloist, and handbell director. She also directs the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church Concert Choir. Lorraine is the Assistant Conductor of the Masterworks Concert Chorale and performs as soloist and with the ensemble of the group. Lorraine served as guest conductor for the PMEA District 1 Honors Choir Festival and the ACDA Sweet Soundsations Festival. Her high school choirs have performed at the PMEA State and All-Eastern Division Conferences. In 2008, Lorraine was honored to be chosen as one of the top one hundred teachers out of three thousand nominations in eighty-three school districts in the Teacher Excellence Center program. Lorraine has taught private voice, piano and musical theatre classes and has also been active in professional, community and high school theatre productions as performer, vocal director and musician. Lorraine is proud to be a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association.
