Mr. Stocke
To the Parents and Guardians,
I’d like to take this time to formally introduce myself as the art teacher at Boyce Middle School. My name is Dennis Stocke and I am truly thrilled to have the opportunity take on this role.
I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 2008 and have been working as a professional educator since. From 2010-2013, I worked as the full time art teacher at Bethlehem-Center Middle School. There, I taught the entire art program, grades 6-8. Prior to this position, I taught the entire 2009 school year as the full time Bethlehem-Center Elementary art teacher. Prior to my tenure at Bethlehem-Center, I have also had teaching experience in the West-Jefferson Hills, Peters Township, Bethel Park and Pittsburgh Public School Districts.
I have also spent the better part of the last decade working as a professional artist. My work has been featured in multiple galleries and can also be seen in many local establishments. I feel tremendously rewarded by my professional experiences and I could not feel more prepared to take on the role as the art teacher at Boyce.
My educational philosophy is entirely rooted in gauging the interests and sensibilities of the students. I teach my classes in the style of formal art lessons, in an open and social art studio-classroom. My class is entirely project based. Many of which, will be large in scale and last throughout the duration of multiple classes.
I welcome your comments, questions and/or concerns. Please feel free to contact me at the school with any matter. I am truly ecstatic to take on the role as your child’s art teacher and I cannot be more excited to work in such a supportive and revered school district.
Thank you sincerely.
Dennis Stocke
