First Grade

First Grade begins their year with celebrating the author and illustrator, Eric Carle. Each student will learn how to paint papers and using shapes and lines, create Eric Carle inspired images. The images will then be used on their very own Sketch Book cover. Their Sketch Book will be used throughout the school year to write down Art vocabulary words, develop their ideas and to reflect on their own artwork. At the end of the year, students will bring home a hand made book filled with their art work and ideas.
