    "Whoooo" is Mrs. Wiesemann?

    Miss McGrath

My name is Megan Wiesemann and I am honored to be your child's 2nd grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary. This is going to be a wonderful year filled with lots of learning and fun. I look forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the school year.

It is a privilege to be a part of the Upper St. Clair School District. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education along with a minor in Spanish from Florida Atlantic University. Go Owls! Upon completing my undergraduate degree, I knew I wanted to pursue my Masters degree and return home to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I earned my Masters in Reading Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh. While at the University of Pittsburgh, I also received my Reading Specialist Certification.

My husband - Erik Wiesemann - teaches Kindergarten at Baker Elementary. We have a golden retriever named Millie who loves taking naps while we are at work and then taking walks when we get home.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love art and enjoy doing crafts. I savor the change of seasons and being outdoors. I like curling up with a good book. Shopping is one of my favorite pastimes, too. I'm also a huge fan of Pittsburgh sports teams.

Confucius once said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." I am certainly living by those words. I look forward to the start of every morning - excited about the learning to take place that day. I enjoy the hum of the classroom as students are hard at work. But most of all, I treasure the smile on your child's face!
