• The main role of a school psychologist is to conduct evaluations with students to determine their eligibility and need for either special education services or gifted services.  However, the training and skills of a school psychologist go much further than that.
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    * Attend all Student Support Services (S3) meetings in assigned buildings
    * Conduct special education evaluations
    * Conduct gifted evaluations
    * Conduct Section 504 (Service Agreement) evaluations
    * Create all initial Service Agreement plans
    * Provide parent consultation
    * Provide teacher consultation
    * Observe students in classrooms
    * Conduct in-service training programs for staff
    * Crisis team member
    * BrainSTEPS liaison
