• Español at Eisenhower & Baker Elementary Schools

     
    1st Grade: We meet once a week for 30 minutes.-- The first grade students will be starting the year learning few simple introductory questions and answers. They will be learning how to answer: "¿Cómo estás?" (How are you?); "¿Cómo te llamas?" (What is your name?); and how to say hello, good bye, please and thank you ("hola, adíos, por favor, gracias").
     
     
    2nd Grade: We meet once a week for 30 minutes. --The 2nd grade students will start the year with a review of previously learned vocabulary, with emphasis on feelings, weather, and calendar time. 
     
    3rd Grade: The 3rd grade students will have Spanish twice a week. Once with myself (Señora Gilbert), and once with their home room teachers. During the lesson with their homeroom teacher, the students will be using the iPads, they will follow a Spanish lesson provided by myself.
     
    The third grade students will start the year with a review of previously learned vocabulary, with emphasis on feelings, weather, and calendar time. They will also be introduce to the Spanish APPs on the iPads. 
     
    4th Grade: We meet twice a week for 30 minutes.
    All the students have received their second KEEP paper.You can find a copy of it on my web page, under 4th Grade Vocabulary. 
     
    The fourth grade students will be starting they year with a review of previously learned vocabulary, with emphasis on feelings, weather, and calendar time.
     
     
     
     
    REMEMBER TO PRACICE EVERY DAY, AT LEAST 5 TO 10 MINUTES. THE STUDENTS CAN FIND GAMES AND ACTIVITIES TO PRACTICE THE VOCABULARY ON MY WEB PAGE.
