    Welcome to Second Grade!
    I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to second grade. My name is Mrs. O'Korn and I will be teaching your child this year. I am sure you are as excited as I am to begin the new year. I cannot wait to meet my new class. I am sure that you are also nervous and I assure you we are doing everything we can, to keep your child safe.

    This is a very special year in your child's school career! During the year, your child will learn how to read complex stories, cursive, regroup, master subtraction and so much more. I hope to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child's years of schooling!

    I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year.
